Media Centre

Orygen Youth Health Media Centre operates 24-hours a day and provides expert and professional commentary on a wide range of youth mental health issues including depression, suicide, psychosis, drug and alcohol use, bipolar disorder and personality disorder.

Orygen Youth Health has both a clinical and research program and are therefore able to offer media commentary from both perspectives.

Orygen Youth Health Clinical Program sees around 800 clients as year and provide a fully-integrated treatment service, ranging from in-patient care to mentoring, counselling, job placement and vocational guidance.

Orygen Youth Health Research Centre is involved in a wide range of projects and is recognised internationally for its' ground breaking results. At any given time there are approxiamtely 100 research projects underway and many of these projects involve partnerships with other large institutions, such as University of Melbourne and the Murdoch Children’s Institute.

Orygen Youth Health aims to lead the reform of the mental health service system and as such, works collaboratively with state and federal governments on creating a more effective and efficient system.  One of the key organisational goals in donig this is to create better-outcomes for young Australians suffering from a mental illness.
